Handmade by Design
Every Display is individually made and finished by hand in the UK
This isn't a mass-produced product coming from an automated production line. From the creation of the lunar body through to painting, finishing and final assembly, each display passes through a hands-on process that gives every piece its own character.
No Two Moons Are Exactly Alike
The surface of the moon display is deliberately complex, with thousands of craters, ridges and fine surface details. Each piece is then finished by hand using multiple tones and techniques to bring out that detail and create the depth and variation of the lunar surface.
As a result, no two Moon Displays will ever look completely identical.
You may notice subtle differences in colour, shading, highlights and surface finish between your Moon Terrain and the examples shown in our photography. These variations are intentional consequences of the handmade process and are part of what makes each piece individual.
What to Expect
Our watch displays are handmade objects, not a precision-machined watch cases. Close inspection may reveal small variations associated with its manufacture and finishing, including slight differences in paint application, texture, surface detail, fit or alignment.
Small marks, finishing variations or other minor cosmetic imperfections may also occasionally be present. Provided they do not affect the function or overall appearance of the product, these are considered normal characteristics of a handmade piece rather than faults.
We inspect every display before it leaves us and wouldn't send anything we weren't happy to own ourselves.
Made to Be Individual
We could remove much of this variation by designing our displays for conventional mass production. But we'd also remove much of what makes it interesting.
Each display has been made, painted, assembled and inspected by a person. The one you receive will therefore be your display, rather than an identical copy of somebody else's.
That's exactly how we think it should be.
